Dinners On The Cruise Ship

The cruise was a lot of fun and there was a lot of food! It was really good and you could order as much as you wanted because you've already paid for it! Dinner was fun and interesting with Mya. It seemed like she got tired about half way every night (right before we would get our main course). I did like that when they would pass out the menus they would take her order (and any of the younger kids) so she would get it right away. I have a lot of pictures from dinners on the cruise, so here you go:
This was the first night. Mya thought that it was okay to bathe herself with ice water in a nice restaurant. Whose child is that? (It was actually really cute and funny).
This is formal night. Mya wore her dress from Trichelle's family. I just love it!
We bought her this dress in Mexico! She looks so pretty in it!
She loved eating everyone's lemons. They'd come with the shimp cocktails and they would just pass them down to her. She also loved the shrimp. Who knew my child would like seafood?
These next two are from the last night on the ship.
She was really tired so we let her roam under the table.

New Orleans

I've been a slacker this week. I've wanted to post about our trip, but I have just had a lot going on, plus with jet lag I've been so tired and ready for bed around 9 every night (which is really early for me), so I haven't gotten around to doing this. But here I go.

So we left on Saturday/Valentine's Day. Our flight was delayed a little because of the snow storm here, but we flew to Atlanta which is about a 4 hour flight. We had a pretty long layover there and then flew to New Orleans. Mya did really good on the plane, except she pooped on both flights! Good timing. The doctor had given us a prescription to get ear drops for the plane ride and I think that really helped.
(Layover in Atlanta)

On Sunday, we didn't have to be on our ship until 5:30 that night, so our Book of Mormon tour group had set up a tour for that day if we wanted. We went to Oak Alley Plantation.
It was really cool with all of the oak trees.
We toured the mansion there and the girls who do the tours dress up from the time with the slaves.
They didn't really have any slave homes left on the plantation, but we did pass some plantations on our way to this one that had slave homes. It was a little drizzly there so it didn't seem hot at all, just humid.

After that, we got on the bus to go to our cruise ship! It was cool driving around New Orleans and kind of getting a feel for the area.
Mya liked hanging out with everyone! She definitely got a lot of attention that week!

New Make-up

My sisters told me about this make up and it's way good & cheap! I like it better than what I'm already using that costs more at WalMart. You should check it out. It's www.eyeslipsface.com Nordstroms used to sell it, or maybe they still do, I'm not sure. You can also google elf coupons and get good deals on shipping or sometimes even half off on items. Just try it, you know you want to. Everybody's doing it.

5 More Days!

We are getting so excited! It's only 5 more days until we leave. It's always so nice to get away and we are so excited for this opportunity. We will be doing the Book of Mormon tour in Mexico and Guatemala. Last night just got us so excited to go when we went to Justin's parents and talked about the itinerary and other details about the trip. I think this will be such a testimony booster about the Book of Mormon. The places we'll be and tying it in with who in the Book of Mormon lived there and putting it all into real life instead of reading it all. It will be amazing. This week will be crazy getting ready though, but what a reward in the end!

Chicken Pox?

A couple of weeks ago, Mya had her doctor appointment and had to get her MMR, chicken pox vaccine, polio vaccine, and they added Hep A vaccine since we're going out of the country. The doctor warned me that there was a chance in a couple of weeks that Mya could get a rash and a fever with reaction to the chicken pox vaccine, which could have been during our cruise. But she got it yesterday. Saturday night she did not sleep well. I was up with her about every hour after 4. I just figured it was her teeth coming in or she has bad dreams a lot, too. But in the morning when Justin was getting her ready for church, he noticed red dots on her belly. We had to keep her home since the paper we got about it said they can still be contagious to someone who hasn't had the chicken pox or the vaccine. Of course Justin points out that he doesn't have a lesson to teach in nursery so he could stay home with her (I had to teach in nursery). But she did really good all day. She was a little whiny now and then, but this morning it's already gone. I never noticed much of a fever on her. I'm so glad though that she reacted before we left so I didn't have to worry about her giving it to someone in the airport!

Brush Your Teeth!

Mya loves brushing her teeth...or anyone else's.

Family Fun

Saturday was my birthday and it was so fun! Justin was off work, so I was able to spend my birthday with Justin and Mya all day! First of all, Justin took care of everything that day! He cleaned everything up, made sure I had breakfast and lunch and just took care of Mya and me. I loved it. First thing that morning, Justin sang to me and had me open my presents.
Justin made the cake (It turned out so good. I told him he should go into business after mine and Mya's cake. He's now the delegated cake-maker at our house). Mya thought it was her birthday though. She was so excited when she saw the presents and whenever Justin started singing "Happy Birthday" she would kick her legs and get so excited. That afternoon I had to run some errands, but afterwards we went to dinner. We were going to go to the Mayan, but I just did not feel like driving that far once we got on the road. I told Justin to get off in Layton and I'd pick somewhere there. We ended up eating at Boston's. I was thinking it was more like a steak house, but it was more Italian food. It was so good!
We got a pizza and it was really good. Mya loved it. She thought it was so fun and actually ate really good! She got crayons and her own drink and pasta, so she was loving it! We got pizza and it was really good and really well priced. I would recommend it to anyone. They have steak and ribs and stuff, too. A good variety.
After dinner we went bowling! We let Mya bowl with us (we'd hold her, she'd touch the ball, and when we'd go to throw it, she'd scream). She loved it! I couldn't believe how much she got into it. She'd even give me hi-fives after we'd knock some pins over. Justin and I switched off games of who held Mya while they bowled. We both bowled better on the games Mya bowled with us.

We went shopping after then finished the night off with a chick-flick. It really was a happy birthday!
