Boating

We went boating on Monday for the last time this year. It was a lot of fun. It was a little colder that day, so Mya just dipped her feet in the water. Justin went out there and wake boarded and also taught his sister Kimi how to wake board. It was a fun trip and day! I love having our days off the same right now!

Say Cheese!...Wait, No Don't!

Mya loves me to take her picture and she loves saying CHEESE! But lately I've had to start telling her to just smile, don't say cheese....

Labor Day Camping

We were able to go camping one more time for the year over Labor Day. My entire family (except my mom who is being hogged by my sister in Florida :) )was up there. It was a ton of fun. Here's some pics along with some good stories about the trip:

THE FISH- the fishing was great! We camped at Long Park this year which isn't too far away from where we normally camp and it was a short walk to the lake and we caught lots of fish. This is Mya's first fish. She was helping me hold the pole when the fish bit and helped me reel it in. She was so excited!!!...until...
Justin was on his way to bring the fish by Mya so I could take a picture and the fish literally jumped out of Justin's hands right onto her little lap! The fish definitely took over her lap and left her shirt dirty and blood-stained. Even today, she hates wearing that shirt because of it.
She was traumatized by fish until the last day of the trip, we were able to talk her into touching one to break her from it.

She did have a lot of fun though. She loved hanging out with Zoe, keeping the trailer clean, drinking from the nearby spring and hanging out with Grandpa.

On Sunday, we did a scavenger hunt and made ice cream. It was a lot of fun and such a relaxing trip!

Porter Update

So thanks to all of you who have been keeping Porter in your prayers. Every day there seems to be some progress. The latest is that his is still hooked up to the breathing machine, but is doing most of the breathing on his own, the machine is on stand by and will kick in when it needs to. Yesterday my sister was finally able to hold him! I can't even imagine what she is going through! He's on antibiotics still. I don't know all of the details, but basically what happened was that he had his first bowel movement before he was born, and ended up getting all of that in his lungs. When he came out, he wouldn't breath on his own and had to put him on a ventilator. He was really sick and they had to watch him so close to make sure his lungs wouldn't collapse and had to watch for heart strain. They're hoping he will get to come home in a week! What a hard and scary road! Rebecca is so strong and I can't wait to go visit her, Porter and the rest of her family in a few weeks!
