My Cute Kids!

This is what I got to wake up to this morning! They both wake up in such great moods! I just love them!

Meet Fred

Yesterday was a total fish day. This is Fred - the newest member of our family. As you can see, he is a Betta Fish...which are usually covered with bright, beautiful colors. Fred's not very colorful and his eyes sort of creep me out, but Mya loves him and insisted on him. We're pretty sure Mya was his only chance for leaving Pet's Mart alive.

So it was Justin's day off yesterday and the night before he asked Mya what she wanted to do with him and her reply was to go look for animals. So that morning Justin took Mya to Pet's Mart to find animals and that's when he ended up buying her the fish. After that, they went fishing at Steed's Pond. While I was at work, this is the text I got with her beautiful catfish. I think yesterday was an official "Ugly Fish Day." Maybe you missed the memo???

4 Months!

Parker turned 4 months on the 3rd and with that came the doctor appointment. He is 90% on his height and 50% on his weight. He is the happiest baby and blesses my life so much! Just one look at him and he's smiling at me and just makes my day...even if I was ornery. He also is eating food now! He loves it. After a week and a half of eating either rice cereal, one container of fruits or veggies, or a half a jar of meat, he now will eat 3 times as much rice as he did and will now eat a half jar of meat with an entire container of fruits or veggies - always followed with milk. He loves food! Such a boy! Mya and Parker get along so well. Whenever we are driving in the car, I always hear Parker babbling or laughing at Mya while Mya's doing the same to Parker. She loves giving hugs and kisses to Parker and she's such a big help with him! We love having Parker in our family!

Labor Day

I'm a little late posting Labor Day since it's almost October now, but better late than never. We went up to Browne Lake again with my family. Mya went up a few days early with my parents and loved it. (In fact, we were talking in the car yesterday and she said she wanted to go camping tomorrow and she would go up with Grandma for a little while and then I could come up and she would sleep in her trailer - funny girl). I won't lie, I got a lot done in those couple of days without her...but I did miss her and was so anxious to get up there and see my little girl!

This year we invited Justin's brother, Braxton, to come with us. It's always a good time with Braxton. Him and Justin are pretty close so we usually see quite a bit of him. Mya really loved having Braxton up there! The things we did were just the usual but tons of fun and always a relaxing weekend. We did some fishing, campfires, roasting hot dogs/marshmallows, driving around to see animals at night, and hanging out with family. Mya loves having all of her cousins up there to play with her and aunts that compete to be her favorite and always have grandma and grandpa tied around her little finger. Parker loved it and he had all of the attention he could want!

It was definitely another fun year and I love this tradition!
I couldn't resist...she's cute even with her butt crack showing.
Mya caught the first fish of the trip from our family.
She's showing off her owies...A few days before she went up camping, she grabbed my hair straightener when it was hot causing 6 blisters across her little fingers. Poor thing...and the day before she smashed her pinkie turning her nail purple. It was a rough couple of days for that little hand.
