Summer Weekend

It seems like there's so much to do lately that I haven't been good about taking advantage of getting Mya out and having fun. So, this last weekend, I wanted to do just that. Saturday morning we went to the parade. Mya loved it. The only part she didn't like was the floats going by with water guns or balloons and would get her all wet. But other than that, she ate it up! She was so excited and it didn't take her long to catch on to hurry and snatch up the candy before the kids next to us got it all.
Then that afternoon we went boating. She loved it. She was nervous about the boat at first (which she's never been like that before in the past) but she warmed up to it and she LOVED swimming in the water. It was a lot of fun. Parker was good and the rocking put him right to sleep.
That night was Roy's fireworks. We decided to skip the crowd and just watch it from our house...on the roof. Mya thought that was pretty cool!
After the fireworks were over, Mya decided she wanted a sleepover with her Daddy. It only lasted about a half hour though because she kept telling Justin to stay in bed while she'd get out to come talk to me. After the 5th time I was a party pooper and said the sleepover was over and she had to go to bed that time. But it was really cute! She loves her Dad!
