On Sunday, we sang to Mya and celebrated it with Justin's family.
On Tuesday was her real birthday. We woke her up to open presents before Justin had to go to work.
She got an outfit, magnets, and a Jessie from Toy Story doll.
Justin came home early from work to play with Mya all day (ok, he really came home because he hurt his knee and it was getting worse at work, but this way he was able to play with Mya all day). They played hard! She rode her car for a long time, they played with magnets, played hide-and-seek, and...well, they went to the store to buy Mya a cake but decided to make one instead!
At first Justin called me at work to let me know he made a cake, but when he went to double layer it, it started falling apart. So he just kept adding more and more frosting to glue it all together. I pictured something much worse than this. I think it's pretty good, especially for her dad to make her first birthday cake! Way cute!
He even did good decorating...now we just need him to work on his spelling. By the way, there are 3 cans of frosting on this cake.Later on we had a party for her. We sang, opened presents and she ate her cake she helped dad make.

She definitely liked it!Here are more pictures of her party.
Her Grandma and Grandpa Wayment came, Bridgette, Dave, Jared, Jessie, Mikayla, Makenzie, Michelle, Madison, Caden, Hallie, Grandma Ropelato, Kimi,
D'Lynn, Brindee, Haylee, Lisa, Ryan, Gavin, Megan, Derek, Heidi, Zoe and a friend of Derek and Heidi's came by.
She got lots of toys, clothes, a doll, and puzzles! It was way fun and Mya just loves interacting with people and having everyone here for her was way fun for her. She had attention on her all day long and she loved it!Then tonight Mya's Grandma Ropelato came by to give her one more present that hadn't arrived in time for her birthday.
She loves it.Thanks everyone for your love and support!

so fun! I like having my birthday spread out too. Mya seemed to enjoy that part of it also. I can't believe she's one!
I am still laughing!!! Love the cake Justin...it looks a little out of place on that huge high chair. Wish I was there!
So impressed with the cake, Justin. How many guys would make a cake rather than settling on Hostess cupcakes?
